Wine Industry Jobs Competition Heats Up

Wine Industry Offered Free Help Wanted Postings

Wine Country Classifieds has changed their business strategy and now offers free job postings on their wine industry classified ad website.

Help Wanted ad postings are now free online at, announced the principals of Wine Country Classifieds. is the website for Wine Country Classifieds, the industry’s oldest and most widely read classified ad publication in North America with over 20,000 weekly readers.

“The Free Help Wanted category now joins our Free Harvest Intern online postings that we began offering last year,” said Wine Country partner Jim Williams.

“We posted over 200 internships last year free of charge and our customers saw great success. Paid Help Wanted ads in Wine Country Classifieds print version are still available and will automatically be included in the free online offering,” Williams added.

“Position Wanted Ads have always been and will remain free of charge.”

Taking the opposite approach of Craigslist, and other major wine job posting sites, Wine Country Classifieds has opted to provide Online Help Wanted ads free of charge to the wine industry.

“The industry has been very supportive of our business over the years. We wanted to acknowledge that through this offer, and believe this to be a long term business strategy that will benefit the industry and our business,” said Williams.

“It’s a common belief that employees are its single most important asset of their companies, and we’d like to help wineries and vineyards find the right people for their businesses, in a timely and inexpensive way,” added Williams.

The Napa Valley based Wine Country Classifieds was established in 1992, in response to a major recession, in order to provide wineries and vineyards a vehicle for not only advertising job listings, but for also selling used equipment, barrels, real estate, etc., and buying or selling grapes or bulk wine.
