GIA PASCARELLI AND KATE CASSIDY JOIN

DALLA TERRA WINERY DIRECT

Gia Pascarelli is the New Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager and

Kate Cassidy is the New Northeast Regional Manager

(Napa, CA; December 22, 2009)—Dalla Terr™ Winery Direct founder Brian Larky today announced two new additions to the company’s sales team: Gia Pascarelli as the new Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager, and Kate Cassidy, who will be the new Northeast Regional Manager. Pascarelli’s role includes management of sales in New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Delaware. Cassidy will manage sales in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Ohio, taking the reins from longtime Northeast Regional Manager Rob Forman as he moves into a newly created Co-National Sales/Brand Manager role. Forman will continue to oversee sales in Texas.

"We are very happy that Gia and Kate will be joining Dalla Terra Winery Direct. Both are already familiar with our brands and have relationships with our distributors. They will definitely hit the ground running,” says Dalla Terra’s founder and owner Brian Larky. “Pascarelli and Cassidy’s roles will continue to develop and strengthen the presence of Dalla Terra wines on the East Coast market,” Larky continues.

The recent additions to the team are in support of the growth Dalla Terra has experienced in 2009. At a time when many companies are tightenting their belts, issuing lay-offs, and selling or consolidating their portfolios, Dalla Terra has expanded its client roster with highly-acclaimed producers Vietti (Piedmont) and Selvapiana (Chianti Rufina), and also appointed Vittorio Marianecci as the new Southeast Regional Manager. “Our ‘Winery Direct’ business model is a more efficient and profitable way of importing and distributing wine in the United States. This has made Dalla Terra not only highly sought-after as an importer by some of the most legendary producers in Italy, but also the value-driven accessible pricing we offer has given consumers a luxury-within-reach item and a reliable portfolio to follow,” says Larky. “I could not be happier with our growth in 2009 with our clients and staff members. We expect more growth in 2010 as our new members get up to speed and as we implement even more attractive pricing on selected wines.”

Pascarelli previously covered the entire United States as Regional Manager for Compagnie Medocaine Des Grand Crus, and has also spent a combined nine years at the supplier, wholesale and restaurant levels. She is fluent in Italian, holding a Master’s Degree in the language as well as a Ph.D. candidacy. Cassidy previously held the position of New England District Manager for Boisset Family Estates, bringing to Dalla Terra a total of 10 years of experience in wine sales for other prestigious companies such as Winebow and Boston Wine Company.

About Dalla Terra Winery Direct

The Dalla Terra Winery Direct roster reads like a who’s who of some of the most esteemed family-owned wineries in Italy. Each producer has played a major role in the significant strides Italy has made over the last twenty years in improving the quality of its wines. Dalla Terra™ Winery Direct® is changing the nature of the wine importing and distribution business. “Winery Direct” is the company’s mantra. Founder and owner Brian Larky’s untraditional approach to selling wine skips the national importer level in the three-tier distribution system, allowing U.S. distributors to buy directly from the producer. This unique business model offers a more efficient, economical and consumer-friendly way of shipping, distributing and marketing wine—despite a strong Euro that has raised some prices as much as 25 percent. In spite of these unfavorable exchange rates, Dalla Terra continues to act innovatively to bring both quality and value to American wine consumers.
