Santa Clara, CA (April 16, 2015) – As the craft beverage community reaches new heights and popularity, craft producers recognize the greater need for open channels of communication between the various craft segments. And Craft Beverage Expo (CBE) in Santa Clara on May 6-8 is the venue of choice. An assortment of industry-leading guilds and associations will collocate their own meetings on May 6, for Craft Beverage Expo’s Trade Association Day, in support of greater collaboration across craft producers nationwide.
“Never before have the various associations and guilds of California’s craft industry come together at a single event,” said Tom McCormick, Executive Director of the California Craft Brewers Association. “It’s an important step, because the segments of our industry are far more alike than we are different. We have so much to learn from each other.”
Converging at CBE Trade Association Day are: The California Artisanal Distillers Guild, The California Craft Brewers Association, The California Cider Association and The South Bay Brewers Guild. With additional support from the Family Winemakers of California, the newest influential group to advocate CBE’s cause of collaboration, CBE 2015 is shaping up to be a great exchange of ideas, sharing of best practices and will ultimately provide an intimate environment for collaborating that will take craft beverage to the next level.
“The momentum of the craft industry is growing,” explains Kellie Shevlin, Executive Director of CBE, “and it’s exciting to see producers working together to build the industry further. These collaborations are spawning some of the most interesting innovations, and Craft Beverage Expo is proud to help spur this creative process.”
Craft Beverage Expo is the only event that brings together producers from all segments of the industry. The show’s explicit mandate is to help attendees master ‘The Business of Craft Beverage,’ seen through the 29 high level and in-depth sessions offered during the event.
