2009 Afton Mountain Vineyards Vintner's Reserve Merlot(Virginia). Silky smooth, fruity character has made way to yummy cocoa and caramel. Complex and well-balanced. I probably spent around $40 several years ago. I wanted to bust into my cellar wines a while back, and I'm glad I picked this! -B
