TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

Fetzer Sundial 2013 California Chardonnay.

Sundial used to be a nice, inexpensive enjoyable summer quaffer.

But this one ranks as the most boring bottle of the year.

Not so bad you couldn’t drink one glass but not good enough to want a second. $6.99 suggested retail and about half that at various supermarket sales.

Note to winery: Wine has to taste good in order for its sustainability to matter. This is all we drank because we couldn't sustain tasting it any longer.
