TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

Lewis Perdue's Rating of Bodega Garzon: Tannat: : : 2012: Uruguay

This is not a big wine.

This is a gigantic, raging Wookie of a wine.

But the balance of all the elements produces an experience more like the cultured tones of an Oxbridge don instead of Chewbacca.

Everything big balances big and right with a not-so-big alcohol of 14.5%.

For my unstylish preference for big reds, this is a great value for $19.95 at Bounty Hunter.

 REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
