NEWS FETCH PLAYLIST:

While creating this issue, I liked this song best: Yeah, Yeah, Yeah  By New Politics.

TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

Newhouse Family Vineyards: Aligoté: Snipes Mountain - Washington: Cottontop: 2013: United States

This was a pleasant surprise -- an outstanding white with the crisp feel and restrained fruit and oak of a very good white Burgundy...

Which it is, since Aligoté is the poor Burgundian cousin of Chardonnay. Usually a blending grape, this is a solo star worth following, especially if you've grown weary of Chard. This has a distinct flavor worth savoring. $36

 REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
