TODAY'S FEATURED WINE FROM THE ARCHIVE

Sorry for the string of archive wines.

I'm working up the foolhardy gumption to go back and buy some new, untried wines at retail.

I'm truly in the shoes of average customer. I see why they are reluctant to try anything new and either keep on buying the "safe" one they already know, or simply punt and head for the craft beer section.

Wood Family Vineyards: Petite Sirah: Livermore Valley-California: : 2007: United States

Coffee, ultra dark (85%) chocolate, gutsy tannins. Gnarly!

 REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
