While creating this TGIF-AE issue, I liked this song best: Feeling Groovy by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel

TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

A helluva wine to end one helluva week.

From Napa Valley, a wine you will have to pry from my cold dead hands.

This bottle of Xantaeus was a gift from the mysterious Clark Braxton's Castello Da Vinci -- a Renaissance Tuscan castle disassembled in Italy and reassembled in Napa Valley.

Braxton's wealth as a defense contractor (Defense Therapeutics) has allowed him to spare no expense in making small lots of wine from the world-class grapes surrounding his estate overlooking the Silverado Trail.

This bottle was one of 182 cases of a classic Bordeaux blend from grapes grown in the Rutherford Bench and Stags Leap districts.

This wine is priceless. Comparable wines cost $250 and up. Link for technical data

REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
