Prices, Ratings Bias Consumer Enjoyment & Willingness To Pay

"The key conclusions from the study are that for non-expert wine consumers
(1) there is no relationship between intrinsic wine character and enjoyment (individuals rated the same wines quite differently), and
(2) price influences both appreciation of wine and Willingness To Pay (WTP), but the latter more strongly.
Buying decisions are determined by consumer surplus (the difference between WTP and price), and yet, for non-expert wine drinkers, WTP is itself strongly influenced by price." [Emphasis and paragraph breaks added]

While creating this issue, I liked this song best: Please Don't Say You Love Me By Gabrielle Aplin.
TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
Orin Swift: Locations, E2 by Dave Phinney Red Blend: : : non vintage:
This is a blend (Grenache/Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell, and Carignan/Cariñena).
The Grenache rings loud, on-key, and true to the faint orange zest and cinnamon that I experience.
Intense in all aspects: fruit, tannin, color and mouthfeel.
A real keeper and a Safeway bargain at $16.99 (suggested retail: $26.99)
REVIEW POLICY:
For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
