NEWS FETCH PLAYLIST:

While creating this issue, I liked this song best: I Got The Message By ZZ Top (apropos the wine, below).

TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

Art + Farm Wine: Red Blend: California: : non vintage: United States

I got the Message from the Messenger.

First message: decant or give this some healthy breathing time.

Second message: it's worth the wait.

Kind of plain right after opening, but then the rockets kick in.

Super complex, layer after layer of taste from all the different vintages and varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon 58% (Lake County), Merlot 19% (Napa, Sonoma, Dry Creek) Montepulciano 12% (Amador, Shenandoah Valley, Malbec 8% and Cabernet Franc 3% (from who knows where?)

Third Message: A non-vintage wine with a plain ole California AVA can be outstanding.

Sorry, messed up the label drinking it all. $18.

REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
