NEWS FETCH PLAYLIST:
While creating this issue, I liked this song best: Don't Swallow The Cap By The National.
TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
Phoenix Ranch: Syrah: Napa Valley - California: : 2010: United States
Goldilocks sez this is the mama bear of big Syrahs ... Not too big. Not too small. Just right.
Inky and intense, smooth mouthfeel and nice hefty balance of fruit and tannins. Yep!
$10.59 for a glass at Norman Rose In Napa.
They mixed up two daily specials for me and created an audacious grilled salmon sandwich with bacon, BBQ sauce and an onion ring.
This Syrah stood up to that and fought back. And won. Amazing service and food!!! (As usual).
REVIEW POLICY:
For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
