TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
Lewis Perdue's Rating of Mt. Tehama Winery: Petite Sirah: California: : 2009: United States
Bright, clean, focused flavors like one of those great ideas that makes you slap your forehead and say, "that's it!"
I got several tasting samples from this winery a few months ago and didn't really go for the first vintage I opened (a 2008).
So, I figured it needed time to recover from the bouncy trip (or it was bottle variation).
Waiting was a good thing, because this one has a clarity that just hits all the right notes. $12 at the winery. There were 2 bottles of the 2008, so I'm looking forward to checking that one out.
REVIEW POLICY:
For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
