Hazelnuts, cherries and cinnamon in a big wine balanced with tannins and oak. But be patient. While very nice when first opened, it's astonishing a half an hour or more later.

2009 Petite Sirah, Cucamonga Valley, Hippard Vineyard, $45. This was a tasting sample from the winery.
