TODAY'S FEATURED WINE (Re-taste)

As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of Russell Family Vineyard: Syrah: Paso Robles-California: Syrah's Vineyard: 2011: United States

Starts with a giant hit of dark chocolate. Then cherries. Toasty hints of oak and balanced tannins. It comes out of the gate big and strong and never looks back.

Awesome with broiled salmon!

Particularly good with dessert: 62% dark chocolate embedded with bacon bits.

This is the second of three bottles I bought.

I previously reviewed the first bottle and gave it a mediocre score. That first one clearly suffered from some sort of bottle variation. Stand by for bottle 3.
