TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

NOTE: You can get a night-before preview of the featured wines on Instagram or this Facebook Author page.

As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of Rabbit Ridge Vineyards: Rhone Blend/Red Wine: Paso Robles California: Allure de Robles: 2012: United States

As News Fetch readers have noticed, I have had pretty bad luck buying new wines at retail. Doesn't seem that I have much better luck than the average consumer.

Consumers get burned all the time as well when they gamble on new wines. No wonder they head for the beer and liquor aisle or just stick to the same wine they already know.

So, when I pour evil wines down the drain and get tired of playing plonk palate roulette right before dinner, I head for a reliable, bullet-proof, "go to" wine.

And this happens to be it. At $70/case at the winery, it's a Rhone blend that slugs way above its weight class.
