TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of Ritual Wines: Rhone Blend/Red Wine: Napa Valley: Ritual: 2010: United States
Just because somebody didn't make much wine doesn't make the wine any better. Relic Wines says they made 18 barrels of this wine and it's on allocation. Bully for them.
This is a decent Rhone blend that's worth no more than $20 per bottle.
Selling it for $50 like they are is counting on the greater fool theory.
And selling a single glass of it for $24 as Yountville's Jeanty is doing is simply a rip-off.
This is a well-made, austere, French style blend in one of the styles found in The Southern Rhone.
Mourvedre, Grenache, Carignane, Syrah and Petit Sirah. The country pate pictured above was well worth the price. The wine: not so much.
